In the electric bicycle industry, the motor generally refers to the motor assembly, including the motor core, the deceleration mechanism, and so on. The electric bicycles we talk about below all refer to the motor assembly.
1. Disassembly of the motor
Before disassembling the motor, you should first unplug the leads of the motor and the controller. At this time, you must record the one-to-one correspondence between the color of the motor lead and the color of the controller. Before opening the motor end cover, the operating site should be cleaned to prevent debris from being attracted to the magnetic steel in the motor. Mark the relative position of the end cover and the hub. Note: The screws must be loosened in diagonal order to avoid deformation of the motor housing. The radial gap between the rotor and the stator of the motor is called the air gap (air gap). Generally, the air gap of the motor is between 0.25-0.8mm. After the motor is disassembled and the motor fault is eliminated, be sure to assemble according to the original end cover mark, so as to prevent the phenomenon of bore sweeping after the second assembly.
2. Lubrication of the internal gear of the motor
If the running noise of the brushed geared hub motor and the brushless geared hub motor starts to become louder, or the gears in the motor are replaced, all tooth surfaces of the gears should be coated with grease. Generally, use No. 3 grease or the manufacturer's designated grease lubricating oil.
3. The assembly of the motor
Before assembling the brush motor, please check the elasticity of the spring inside the brush holder, check whether the carbon brush and the brush holder are rubbed, check whether the carbon brush can reach the maximum stroke in the brush holder, and pay attention to the correct positioning of the carbon brush and the inverter , So as not to damage the carbon brush or the brush grip.
When installing the motor, first clean up the impurities on the surface of the motor components to avoid affecting the normal operation of the motor, and be sure to fix the hub body firmly to prevent the components from colliding and damaging due to the strong attraction of the magnetic steel during installation. The detection of 36V is normal, the controller output 5V, 12V is normal, and the motor resistance is normal. Connect the motor directly to the 36V battery, and the motor runs normally.
